Wish List: Books

I love to read and books have always been on my wish list every Christmas & Birthday. This year I`m spending most of my days reading classics or other fictional english literature, which is why I`m wishing for non-fiction books instead... I want good books that is well-written, inspiring and difficult to put away. I`m interested in books about houses, interior design, crafting and food but also inspiring biographies, memoirs and history books.

I would be grateful if anyone would like to help me out here! What`s your favourite book when it comes to non-fiction? On a cold winters day, when I`m lying in the sofa under a blanket with a large cup of tea right beside me and a book in my hands - what book should that be? :-)

What`s on my wish list right now:
Anything by Susan Branch but especially Christmas from the heart, Heart of the home: Notes from a Vineyard Kitchen & Vineyard Seasons

Anything from Gooseberry Patch. Doesn`t A Pinch of This, A Dash of That, Country Baking, Gifts for Giving or Old-Fashioned Country Christmas sound wonderful?

Anbefales. Drømmer meg bort i dem. Tror nok dom bør finnes i sverige også.

Thanks for your comment :) I forgot to comment back and tell you that I did make those Chelsea buns and I'll post the recipe when I get the chance ~ so many things to do so little time!

I'll definitely have a look at those books you mentioned, they sound good!

The Books you mentioned sound so cozy!

I'm wanting to get Pretty Little Things: Collage Jewelry, Trinkets, Keepsakes by Sally Jean Alexander and Where Women Create: Inspiring Work Spaces of Extraordinary Womenby Jo Packham. I usually go for religious non-fiction but lately, I just want to look at pretty things and places and not think so hard. :)

Hmmm, I have so many favorites. Since you are thinking about Christmas and crafting things for it, you might enjoy "Vintage Christmas Crafts" by Susan Toliver. Lot's of lovely photos and patterns for making beautiful old fashioned Christmas things, like little cardboard houses with cellophane windows, sprinkled with glitter.
I like Susan Branch's books too!

Oh, that sounds good...to enjoy a cup of tea and read a book...but with 2 kids, I will have to live vicariously through you and hear about the books you are reading!

Unfortunately books (in english) don't come my way easy. There's just a small selection at the nearest bookstore and anyway, whatever's available is all marked up higher!

RYC: I am a bad influence if you're into healthy breakfasts. So very bad! ;-P
